Beyond the intrinsic sales/marketing experiential improvements, business professionals are rewarded for their engagement. Users will receive CPE/PDU credits for their time on the platform and will receive remuneration for any vendor questions you respond to and meetings you attend.

These payments are regulated to ensure compliance with anticorruption regulations and eliminate any potential for biases in the review process. Money earned on the platform can be withdrawn by the user or donated to a non-profit organization, which may also provide the user with substantial tax deduction benefits (in some cases up to 60% of annual income).

If you are employed by an organization that prohibits vendor gifts (e.g. federal/state agencies), Tofu can facilitate directed donations in lieu of payment to the user to comply with these regulations. Users will not be eligible for tax deduction benefits under this structure.

It depends on your elected disbursements.

If you elect to receive cash disbursements, Tofu issues users an IRS Form 1099-K each year for any income earned through our platform.

If a user chooses to make donations through the platform, we will provide donation receipts for tax reporting purposes.

For state/federal/etc. employees (FedRAMP) Tofu will make the donations for you to ensure all compliance requirements are met and no action/reporting on the users part is required.

Meetings are 30 minutes in duration but can continue as long as needed beyond this minimum.

Your payment rate (per question or meeting) is determined by the size and prominence of your company. Minimum earnings start at $75 per meeting / $5 per question response, and climb as high as $220 per meeting / $10 per question response.

Many employment agreements allow for side jobs (aka moonlighting) and limit prohibitions to cases where there could be a conflict of interest, impacts to your performance, and/or misuse of company resources/assets. Most employers want, if not require, employees to stay up to date on the latest product offerings on the market. Using the Tofu app simply allows you to gain additional benefits from activities you are performing already and removes all the things you hate about vendor interactions. It is an abbreviated form of Top of the Funnel, a sales term and metaphor for the customer purchase journey represented by a funnel with target populations getting smaller as they go through the stages. You can simplify any sales and marketing funnel into three stages:

Top of the funnel (TOFU): People become aware of the problem you can solve.

Middle of the funnel (MOFU): Prospects want a solution and consider their options.

Bottom of the funnel (BOFU): prospects decide on a solution and become customers.

TOFU is the most complicated, inefficient, and costly stage of the sales and marketing process. Our reason for being is to solve these challenges and make the process a better experience for buyers, while also satisfying vendors' needs to effectively promote their products and close new deals.

For buyers, evaluators, influencers, etc. the service is 100% free; only product vendors pay for platform-related services.
