BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL REMUNERATION (BUYER) DISCLAIMER
Compensation for platform participation—including answering questions, attending meetings and completing post-meeting requirements—will be provided as specified in your personal profile. At Tofu’s sole and absolute discretion, compensation may be issued in the form of site credits or, where permitted, in cash.
All payments are contingent upon your completion of a valid IRS Form W-9 or W-8 (for non-U.S. residents) to enable required regulatory filings (including Form 1099 and any other applicable documentation). You are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate information in your profile, including current employment details. If you are employed, you must comply with your employer’s applicable policies regarding the receipt of payments or credits from Tofu. Compensation will be based on the rate listed in your profile at the time the event occurs. Payments or credits are issued only after all required questions have been answered and submitted, or after a meeting and all associated follow-up activities have been successfully completed. Questions about payment status should be directed to support@hellotofu.com.
If a Vendor disputes your performance, Tofu may withhold payment pending resolution. You agree to notify Tofu of any dispute before negotiating or filing claims and to engage in good-faith informal resolution with a Tofu representative for at least thirty (30) days prior to initiating any proceeding. You understand that you have no right to receive compensation for any conduct that Tofu reasonably determines violates the Terms & Conditions, community standards, or compliance rules, including but not limited to providing inaccurate information. Tofu may recover any payments or credits already issued for activity deemed to be in violation. Tofu may also suspend or terminate your account pending investigation or resolution of any dispute.
You are solely responsible for any taxes due in your jurisdiction related to payments or credits received from Tofu and agree to provide evidence of tax compliance upon Tofu’s request. You should consult your tax advisor to understand your obligations.
VENDOR PAYMENTS DISCLAIMER
Vendors must maintain a funded company wallet to pursue prospective leads, including for qualifying activities (e.g., asking questions) and accepting leads (e.g., scheduling and holding meetings). Wallet funding may be completed via credit card through the marketplace or by invoice and check/wire transfer. Credit card transactions are subject to defined limits listed in the company wallet. Invoiced payments may be subject to minimum thresholds and may provide discounted rates; additional information is available by contacting Tofu Sales at sales@hellotofu.com.
Funds added to a company wallet may be used for marketplace activities and will be debited only upon successful completion of the corresponding lead action as outlined in the application and in our Terms & Conditions and community standards. All wallet funding is non-refundable and must be used within the marketplace.
DORMANT ACCOUNTS AND ACCOUNT TERMINIATION DISCLAIMER
Accounts with no login activity for 365 consecutive days will be classified as dormant. If a dormant account carries a positive fund balance, Tofu will attempt to notify the user via the contact information on file. If Tofu cannot reach the user and/or no corrective action is taken within the specified remediation period, the remaining balance will be forfeited, and the account will be closed. Accounts may be reopened at a later date; however, forfeited funds are not recoverable.
